I Was thinking of putting a catch can on both sides of the engine to keep the plumbing simple. I raced this past Sun at an SCCA event and I was pitching clouds of smoke through some of the turns. I was also coughing up huge plumes of smoke when I Started the car to move it through the staging grid - I suspect that some of the oil coming from the PCV valves is settling in the plenum and some is actually settling down the lower plenum and into the intake valve chamber, where it is being sucked into the cylinder and burned. Its a scary thing when your Z starts smoking after running it hard - it could be nothing, but it could also be catastrophic. With a catch can you would eliminate oil being routed back into the intake which will eliminate smoke, unless something is BAD wrong. Clouds of intermittent smoke just look bad and dont go over well. : I have thought of something like this also, but not enough time for a lot of thought. It seems that 2 cans (one for each side)would make more sense otherwise you would just complacate the engine bay and possibly loss some of the effectiveness w/ long reaches of hose. This has been discussed quite a bit in the turbo Honda realm, but not any info. likely to help us. I just changed my pcv's on Sat., and I think the can would be more effective the closer to the stock location of the pcv's, but the moroso cans most people have used might be to large to mount that close. If you take a closer look into this, please post to keep us updated. It will take me longer to take a look b/c I have a new baby (she is 5 days old).
: Thanks, : Josh
